In vitro study | SC1 is a dual inhibitor of ERK1 and RasGAP. Simultaneous inhibition of the activity of these proteins is a sufficient requirement for SC1 to exert its effect on mES cells. SC1 activates Ras by inhibiting the function of RasGAP. SC1 increases the efficiency of derivation and pluripotency of stem cells isolated from C57BL/6 mice. Three types of pluripotent stem cells (fES, ntES, and iPS cells) co-incubated with SC1 can efficiently generate full-term pups. |
